RUTLEDGE, Del. – New Castle County Police will charge a father and son for dealing drugs near Bear after police say they found guns and drugs in their home.
Police charged Thomas McCormick Jr. Tuesday night and plan to charge Thomas McCormick Sr. Wednesday night when he surrenders.
Officers began investigating in the 300 block of Hackberry Drive this month because of citizens complaining about heavy traffic in and out of the McCormicks' home.
When police searched their home Tuesday, officers found 142 bags of heroin, more than 60 prescription pills, a handgun and shotgun and $3,800 in cash.
The two are charged with various drug charges including possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and using their home for drug dealing.
