Below is a list of American soldiers charged for allegedly abusing Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison:

Pfc. Lynndie England:

England appeared in several photographs taken at Abu Ghraib prison showing the abuse of prisoners. England, 21, a member of the 372nd Military Police Company, is charged with assaulting Iraqi detainees, conspiring with Spc. Charles Graner Jr. to mistreat the prisoners and committing an indecent act by forcing prisoners to masturbate.

A military court hearing is scheduled for June 22. The hearing is to determine whether to recommend a court-martial or other punishment continuing under military law.

Spc. Charles Graner:

Graner, shown in several pictures with Lynndie England, is facing multiple criminal charges, including dereliction of duty. Graner, 35, a member of the 372nd Military Police Company, is also charged with adultery for having sex with England.

The charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice against Graner are: conspiracy to maltreat detainees; dereliction of duty for willfully failing to protect detainees from abuse, cruelty and maltreatment; maltreatment of detainees; assaulting detainees; committing indecent acts; adultery; and obstruction of justice.

Graner declined to enter a plea during his arraignment; a pre-trial hearing will be held June 21.

Sgt. Javal S. Davis:

Davis, 26, is a member of the 352nd Military Police Company. He faces charges of conspiracy to maltreat detainees; dereliction of duty for willfully failing to protect detainees from abuse, cruelty and maltreatment; maltreatment of detainees; assaulting detainees; and making a statement intended to deceive an investigator.

Davis declined to enter a plea during his arraignment; a pre-trial hearing will be held June 21.

Staff Sgt. Ivan Frederick II

Frederick, 37, is a member of the 800th Military Police Brigade. He faces charges of conspiracy to maltreat detainees; dereliction of duty for negligently failing to protect detainees from abuse, cruelty and maltreatment; maltreating detainees by photographing them naked; posing for a photograph with a maltreated detainee; ordering detainees to strike each other; striking and assault detainees; and committing indecent acts.

Frederick declined to enter a plea during his arraignment; a pre-trial hearing will be held June 21.

Specialist Jeremy C. Sivits

Jeremy Sivits, 24, pleaded guilty to four counts of abuse, and was the first defendant to go on trial in the Abu Ghraib case.

Charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice allege conspiracy to maltreat detainees, and dereliction of duty for negligently failing to protect detainees from abuse, cruelty and maltreatment.

Pfc. Andrew J. Sting

Sting, an infantryman with the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, was charged for giving an Iraqi prisoner electric shocks along with Pfc. Jeremiah J. Trefney. Sting, 19, pleaded guilty to charges of assault, cruelty and maltreatment, dereliction of duty, and conspiracy to assault. He was sentenced to a year in prison, a reduction of rank, forfeiture of pay and a bad-conduct discharge.

Pfc. Jeremiah J. Trefney

Trefney, an infantryman with the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, was charged for giving an Iraqi prisoner electric shocks along with Pfc. Andrew J. Sting. Trefney, 19, pleaded guilty to cruelty and maltreatment, dereliction of duty, false official statement, violating a lawful order, and conspiracy to commit assault. He was sentenced to eight months in prison, reduction of rank and forfeiture of all pay, and he will also receive a bad-conduct discharge.
