NEW YORK – A New York man pleaded innocent today to setting a fire in an apartment building and posing as a firefighter to trick a woman into letting him into her home.
She says she was bound, sexually molested for more than 13 hours and videotaped by the phony fireman.
Peter Braunstein was on the run for about six weeks before his arrest in Tennessee last month.
The suspect is an aspiring writer. He and the woman reportedly once worked for the same magazine corporation at the same time.
He is facing 13 criminal counts, and a mental competency evaluation.
