Dutch police say they are investigating an apparent link between the deaths of five people — including a father and his son and daughter — whose bodies were found in houses in two towns.

Police say in a statement the bodies of a 46-year-old man, his 16-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter were found Monday along with the body of a woman in a house in Zwijndrecht, 28 miles south of The Hague. The body of another woman was found in a house in Bavel, 25 miles away.

Police have not released the identities of the man and his children and are still trying to establish the identities of the two women.

The statement Tuesday describes their deaths as "a possible family drama" but does not elaborate and gives no causes of death.
