The second wife of a former suburban Chicago police sergeant has testified that he threatened to kill her and make it look like an accident.

Victoria Connolly testified Tuesday that her ex-husband Drew Peterson pulled a gun on her three or four times, and that he once put the weapon to her head and told her he would kill her then kill himself.

Connolly and Peterson were married for 9 1/2 years. She described their divorce as amicable.

Peterson has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the 2004 death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. Connolly testified at a pretrial hearing in the case.

Peterson's fourth wife, Stacy, disappeared in 2007. Peterson has not been charged in the disappearance, but police say he is a suspect.
