Friends of brutally murdered former model Lisa Davis say the public has not received an accurate portrayal of who she really was, and that the Tennessee woman's murder makes no sense at all based on her personality.
Davis was brutally murdered and dumped in a field earlier this week.

Her best friend, Shannon Lazek, told MyFOXMemphis she is still in shock over the senseless killing.
After hearing stories of Lisa being helped home by friends because she was drunk on the night she disappeared, Lazek insisted that was not a characteristic of her friend at all.
"She would have a drink, take like three sips of it and I would end up finishing it for her," she told MyFOXMemphis. "I might have seen her tipsy once and she wasn't drunk."
Lazek also said Davis stayed close to her friends all night, and wasn't teasing or flirting with her murderer.
Davis' friends and family said goodbye to the 29-year-old Thursday evening at a memorial service held at the Bellvue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee, MyFOXMemphis.com reported.
Friends of Davis' said that it has been a very emotional week and expected that the service would be difficult as well.
The service began with a slideshow of pictures of Davis that had been handpicked by friends like Madi Carpenter, according to MyFOXMemphis.com.
"We created a slideshow with all of her pictures, memories of her when she was younger," she said.
Carpenter was comforted, however, by the fact that the service would allow her to be around people who loved Davis as much as she had, MyFOXMemphis.com reported.
"Hopefully it will be a time for people to get together and…grieve together," she said. "You know, a lot of times that helps more than anything."
Carpenter said that though the services would help to bring people together — something she was sure Davis would have loved — they were sure to be very emotional as well, MyFOXMemphis.com reported.
"Probably be the hardest time we've all had because you see pictures, hear stories, you see her friends, remember the times with her, it will probably be more real than anytime I've had so far," she said.
Davis, whose body was found in a field Tuesday, had known her murderer, Austin Agee, for only a few weeks before she was killed.
A note found at Agee's residence led authorities to Davis' body in a remote field hours after Agee shot himself Tuesday, said police Inspector Jeff Cox of Bartlett, a Memphis suburb.
At a news conference, Cox quoted the note as saying Agee was "sorry" for what he had done and indicated the body could be found in a field where the 21-year-old man used to ride four-wheelers.
The note, Cox said, did not indicate how Davis died and police were awaiting a coroner's report.
"He said that it just got out of hand. That's all he said," Cox said.
Agee shot himself shortly after detectives arrived at the residence he shared with his parents to question him as a "person of interest" in Davis' disappearance, authorities said.
Agee had been vague and nervous during an earlier interview, Cox said.
Police said the investigation was continuing as they try to determine if Agee was the only person suspected of involvement in Davis' death.
Davis, Agee and three other acquaintances partied together in the Beale Street entertainment district of Memphis on Saturday night, Cox said. The group dropped Davis off at her Bartlett residence about 2 a.m. Sunday but Cox said Agee is believed to have returned to the house.
Friends reported Davis missing when she failed to arrive for work Sunday in the finance office of a motorcycle dealership. Police following up on that report found blood and signs of a struggle at residence but no indications of forced entry.
Police believe Agee and Davis had known each other for only a short time.
"He had been hanging around with the group for about two or three weeks," Cox said.
An Internet Web site called Model Mayhem lists a posting under the name of a Lisa Davis who is described as an experienced bikini model and occasional movie extra. It listed appearances as extras in several movies and music videos among her credits.
