LOS ANGELES – It's a girl for "Desperate Housewives" (search) actor James Denton (search).
Malin O'Brien Denton weighed 7-pounds, 5-ounces when she was born early Tuesday at a Los Angeles area hospital, publicist Susan Madore said. Denton, 42, wife Erin O'Brien Denton and their newborn are doing well.
"They are really great, really great," Madore said, adding the mother returned to the couple's Glendale home just hours after giving birth.
Denton, 42, plays Mike Delfino on ABC-TV's "Desperate Housewives" and his wife is a personal trainer. The couple also has a son, 22-month-old Sheppard.
Nashville native Denton began acting at 20 and his films include "Primary Colors," "Face/Off" and "That Old Feeling." He played sociopath Mr. Lyle on the television drama "The Pretender" and played opposite Kim Delaney on the TV series "Philly."
He also played Special Agent Jon Kilmer on the ABC-TV series "Threat Matrix."
