Let’s face it, there’s nothing like a little liquid courage to loosen up a first date. And even if your sweetie’s been around for a while, a seductive spirit can certainly help set the mood. But there’s more to a “love potion” than just champagne and bubbly. Spice things up with these creative cocktails. Who says chocolate has to come in a box?

Chocolate Covered Banana Cocktail

1 tbsp. Peanuts, crushed

1 tbsp. Chocolate Syrup

2 oz. Godiva Caramel Milk Chocolate Liqueur

1 oz. Banana Liqueur

Splash Heavy Cream

• Coat the rim of a tumbler glass in chocolate syrup and dip in crushed peanuts. Fill the glass with ice. In a cocktail shaker, combine the liqueurs and heavy cream. Shake well and strain into the glass.

Blood Orange Margarita

3/4 oz. Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur

1.5 oz. Tequila

1/5 oz. Agave Nectar

1/2 oz. Fresh Orange Juice

squeeze of fresh lime

• Shake with ice and strain over ice in a rocks glass. Serve with salted rim and blood orange segment garnish.

Rose and Lychee Martini

1 1/2 oz Hendrick's Gin

1 1/2 oz Lychee Juice

1/2 oz. Rose Infused Simple Syrup

1/2 oz. Fresh Orange Juice

2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Dash Egg Whites

• Combine ingredients and shake very well. Serve up with a lemon twist or add a rose petal garnish.

Heated Affair

2 oz. Partida Añejo Tequila

6 oz. Hot Spiced Apple Cider

Heavy cream

• Add Partida Tequila and hot apple cider to a small warm wine glass. Float heavy cream. Grate fresh nutmeg over cream for garnish.

Anejo Kiss

1 1/2 oz. Partida Anejo Tequila

1/2 oz. Creme de Cacao (white)

1 oz. Amarula Cream

• Mix ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a chilled martini glass.

Diamonds and Pearls

1 oz. Hendrick’s Gin

1 oz. Lillet Blanc

6 Blackberries

1/2 oz. Monin Coconut

• Muddle blackberries with coconut syrup, add other ingredients and shake very well. Serve in a martini glass and garnish with a single blackberry.
