The Macomb County sheriff's department has released a copy of surveillance video that shows a mob of young people attacking a person outside a Mount Clemens gas station.

Sheriff Mark Hackel said the man shown being beaten wasn't seriously injured. He says the video released Thursday may show some of the same 20 to 30 young people who also beat a motorist unconscious.

In that attack, authorities said the young people were blocking the street and threw a brick at a car driven by a woman. A male passenger got out, and the mob attacked him. A second male passenger was less seriously hurt.

The attacks happened late Saturday and early Sunday, and the sheriff's department is seeking help in identifying suspects.

The attacks appear to be random, Hackel said.
