New Britain police say they arrested a man for holding up a pizza shop after he called in a food order and a worker recognized his voice.

Khamis Delgado of New Britain was charged with robbery and larceny Monday. The 24-year-old posted $100,000 bond and is due back in New Britain Superior Court on March 12.

Police say Delgado denies robbing Corbin Pizza with another man on Dec. 29.

The suspects wore bandanas over their faces and took money from the cash register and $700 from the worker.

The restaurant employee called police Jan. 16 to report that he had received a delivery order from a man who sounded like the robber.

Police watched as the food was delivered to Delgado's address. Authorities say the worker who was robbed identified Delgado as the suspect and said Delgado worked at the pizza shop in the past.
