A group of students were stopped from singing Christmas songs inside a shopping mall in Wales after store owners complained they were too loud, the Daily Mail reported.

The group of 29 students, age 6 to 11, were given permission to sing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Victoria Centre in Llandudno on Nov. 24 to raise money for their school, the Daily Mail reported.

"After a bit, a security guard came over and said we had only meant to be singing for one hour, and could we please stop," Ian Jones, the headmaster of the Ysgol San Siôr school told the Daily Mail. "I just said 'No,' because I knew we were allowed to sing between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m."

"In the end, he said we would have to stop or he would call the police," Jones told the newspaper.
