Chicago Firefighters Brave Fierce Flames
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Three Chicago businesses went up in flames early Friday morning, leaving three firefighters injured.
The fire began 5:15 a.m. at the Red Basket Restaurant and spread to other businesses in the one-story building, according to a Fire Department spokesman.
Firefighters on the scene braved thick, black smoke, with one firefighter sliding down a ladder above the flames. He is in good condition at Resurrection Hospital. Two other firefighters also sustained minor injuries fighting the fire. None of the injuries are life threatening.
