A Canadian welder who just won $14.8 million in the Ontario Lottery told reporters he is going to give $30,000 of it to five former Tim Horton's employees because they always got his coffee orders right, the Ottawa Sun reported.
"I promised them, but do you think they believed me?" 60-year-old Jorma Hogbacka said at a press conference Monday.
Hogbacka, of St. Catharines, Ontario, was one of three winners of Saturday's $44.4 million prize, the third largest jackpot in Canada's history. The other two winners have not come forward.
"Four years ago, (a psychic) sent me a letter that said 'You'll be rich beyond your wildest dream,'" Hogbacka, a lotto player for 25 years, told reporters. "It feels like another day, except I have a big check."
Hogbacka said he also plans to use his winnings to travel, buy a new car, and help out his two sisters.
