President Bush is throwing his weight behind a business group seeking to help rebuild Lebanon after Israel's war there with Hezbollah.

The president said Monday the goal is to tell the Lebanese people: "We care about you" and "we've got great hopes for you."

The United States was widely criticized in Lebanon for backing Israel during the 34-day battle with Hezbollah terrorists at the shared border.

But during an Oval Office photo session, Bush told reporters this delegation will show the Lebanese the compassionate "face of America." And it'll support Lebanon's democratically elected government.

Cisco CEO John Chambers, who headed the group, said the need for aid is urgent and "the time for action is now."
