Bus Carrying High School Football Players Flips on Freeway Near Seattle

SEATTLE – The Washington State Patrol says a bus carrying a high school football team overturned on Interstate 5, part of a four-vehicle accident on the freeway south of Seattle.

Patrol Trooper Cliff Pratt says eight people were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries.

Pratt says an unidentified vehicle lost a ladder on the freeway, causing several vehicles to swerve out of the way.

He says one the vehicles was a charter bus transporting 38 members of the Bellevue High School football team to the state tournament in Tacoma.

A semi-truck and two passenger vehicles were also involved in the collision.
