Police arrested four men Tuesday under the Terrorism Act in the port city of Southampton.

The four, aged between 26 and 34, were being questioned, Hampshire police said. Police gave no further details about the men or what they were suspected of doing.

Last month, British troops carried out a series of raids under the Terrorism Act. Eight men captured in the raids, including an alleged senior Al Qaeda (search) operative, were charged with plotting to commit murder and cause mayhem with radioactive materials, toxic gases, chemicals or explosives.
