ROMULUS, Mich. – A bomb threat forced 99 passengers from a Northwest Airlines flight from Detroit to Atlanta as authorities searched the plane and luggage with bomb-sniffing dogs.
Northwest spokeswoman Michelle Aguayo Shannon says Flight 467 was rolled from the gate at Detroit Metropolitan Airport about 1:30 p.m. Friday before passengers and their bags were removed.
No arrests have been made.
Shannon says passengers were re-screened. Those without checked luggage have been placed aboard a 5 p.m. flight to Atlanta. The remaining passengers are expected to leave on the original plane about 6 p.m.
The Eagan, Minn.-based airlines is Michigan's largest passenger air carrier.
