A body found on the Century Freeway forced the closure of the entire eastbound side in South Los Angeles for more than 4 hours Monday, authorities said.

All eastbound lanes of the 105 were closed while authorities investigated the discovery.

The body was discovered at about 5:30 a.m. on the 105 Freeway at Wilmington near Watts, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.

He had no immediate information on the identity of the body or how the person was killed. A red pickup truck is being sought as a "vehicle of interest" in the case.

Morning commuters were forced off the freeway to find alternate routes.
