One person is being held for questioning after five bodies were found at a home in southeast Texas.

The Austin County Sheriff's Office had said in a statement that deputies found the bodies of four adults and one child Sunday afternoon at a home in Bellville. Sgt. Paul Faircloth said one person was being questioned. Authorities said Monday that person is still in custody.

Authorities would not release any additional information about the slayings, including the names of the victims, their relationship, or how they were killed. The sheriff's office declined on Monday to provide more information.

The Texas Rangers are helping with the investigation. Department of Public Safety spokesman Tom Vinger could provide no additional details Monday.
