Study Long, Study Wrong

Philadelphia's public schools, which have been placed in receivership for their chronic failure to educate students, have decided to examine 30,000 15-to-19-year olds for chlamydia, a sexually transmitted disease, perhaps, in the hope that officials will have found at least one test the students can pass.

A political literary update: We noted last week that former Vice President Al Gore's two latest books, both co-written with his wife, aren't exactly flying off the shelves.
