But Ross made no 'friends' as the inept blowhard lieutenant. It was tough to watch him yelling at his men without cracking a smile and waiting for his patented hound dog look.

Word around the Toronto Film Festival this weekend had one of the most interesting premieres off screen. It was the debut of Ben Affleck fresh from rehab. But was that really him looking almost 30 pounds heavier, escorting a pair of professional ladies and a limo? Looks like he was next to a wagon - one he just fell off of.

John Travolta must have been hungry. He was stopped for speeding early yesterday morning on U.S. 1 in Rockport, Maine. He told police that he and a friend were hurrying to get to Denny's before it closed. Isn't Denny's open 24 hours? The cop bought it. Travolta was let off with a warning.

Plus, it looks like the Williams sister's tennis battle was a love match for ratings. About 23 million people watched. I think the coolest thing they could have done was play to a tie and then put their rackets down.
