After an extensive search, a man wanted in a triple killing two weeks ago was arrested Tuesday after police found him holed up with his girlfriend just yards from his own home.

Officers arrested Nicholas Harbison about 2:30 p.m. in an abandoned house in southwestern Indiana's Gibson County, state police Sgt. Todd Ringle said. Harbison, 23, was being held without bond.

The house was about 500 feet from Harbison's mobile home and was not visible from the road, Ringle said.

Harbison was charged last month with killing Daniel White, 21, Keela Lynch, 18, and Rebekah Acorn, 17. White's brother, 18-year-old Cameron White, survived the attacks.

Police would not comment on a possible motive.

State police went to the house after learning that Harbison's girlfriend, who was known to be with him, had phoned her parents to ask for drinking water, authorities said in a news release.

After Harbison's arrest, Misty Davis, 21, was released to her parents, who had pleaded for her safe return, police said.

Investigators have said they believe Davis left voluntarily with Harbison.

The search for Harbison was featured on the "America's Most Wanted" television show.
