An Atlanta woman who accused NBA star Shaquille O'Neal of stalking and threatening her has withdrawn her request for a permanent restraining order against him.

A judge had been set to hear the case Thursday after several continuances. But documents filed late Wednesday in Fulton County Superior Court show that Alexis Miller has withdrawn her request.

It wasn't immediately clear whether the two sides had agreed to settle the case.

Miller's lawyer, David Wolfe, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday morning. Drew Findling, a lawyer for O'Neal, also did not immediately return a call Thursday.

Miller, a 23-year-old hip-hop artist who goes by Maryjane, had said the Phoenix Suns center sent her threatening e-mails, harassed her by phone and said he would ruin her career after she broke off a relationship with him in July.
