Arkansas Woman Dies During New Jersey Voodoo Cleansing Ritual, Cops Say

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Authorities are investigating how an Arkansas woman died Sunday in what they call a voodoo cleaning ritual in a southern New Jersey town house.

Prosecutors say 21-year-old Lucille Hamilton of Little Rock was found unresponsive in the Gloucester Township home early Sunday.

Six other people in the home, including children, were also found at the home. All of them were taken to Virtua Hospital in Berlin Township and released.

Camden County Prosecutor's spokesman Jason Laughlin says Hamilton was spending the weekend at the home for a ritual that was supposed to last from Friday through Sunday.
