LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An Arkansas doctor indicted for the bombing that wounded the head of the state medical board has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Dr. Randeep Mann waived his right to an appearance at his arraignment, which was set for Thursday, and pleaded not guilty to charges that were handed down by a grand jury earlier this month.
Mann is charged with using a weapon of mass destruction in the February 2009 bombing that injured Dr. Trent Pierce. Mann also faces charges of illegally possessing unregistered grenades, among other weapons charges.
Prosecutors have said Mann targeted Pierce to retaliate after Mann's repeated run-ins with the medical board.
He faces a March 15 trial.
