AP Correction: Texas Court on DeLay Case

AUSTIN – In a Dec. 27 story about Rep. Tom DeLay's appeal of criminal charges he faces in Texas, The Associated Press, relying on information provided by the congressman's spokesman, erroneously reported that the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals had agreed to hear his case.

In its Tuesday order, the court asked prosecutors to respond to DeLay's request that the justices dismiss the charges against him. The court will decide whether to take the case after the response is received.
