Animal Lovers and Cannibalism
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Some animal lovers equate animal rights with human rights. But few go as far as PETA Founder Ingrid Newkirk, who in a 1989 issue of Vogue Magazine (search) outlined the group's mission: "There is no rational basis for asserting that a human being has special rights… a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy."
So how does that philosophy play out in real life? You may remember a particularly gruesome story about a German fellow who killed and then ate a computer expert, whom he had first met online.
PETA sent the German cannibal a vegetarian cookbook and a letter to the press, which said in part, "What this man did to a German computer expert is done to other creatures every day."

And that’s the Asman Observer!
