Airbus, Boeing Deals at Paris Air Show

A quick glance at Airbus and Boeing deals at the Paris Air Show:

+ Airbus said Mexican airline ABC had ordered 10 A320 aircraft in a deal worth $600 million at list prices. The European planemaker also said that ABC had options to buy 10 more jets. Deliveries will begin in the second quarter of 2007, Airbus said in a statement.

+ Airbus said Singapore's Tiger Airways (search) had agreed to buy eight A320 planes, worth about $500 million at list prices.

+ Goodrich Corp. (GR) announced a deal worth up to $390 million to supply cargo systems for Boeing planes.

+ Airbus announced an order for two A330-300s for Air Caraibes (search) in a deal worth about $340 million at list prices.

+ Egyptian Air Cairo (search) ordered six Airbus A318 planes for about $300 million. The European planemaker's chief executive, Noel Forgeard (search), said the low-cost carrier also had an option to buy two more.

+ Korean Air Co. (search) ordered $300 million in engines from Engine Alliance, a joint venture between GE Aircraft Engines and Pratt & Whitney, to power Airbus A380 planes it has on order.

+ Regional planemaker ATR (search) announced a deal worth up to $250 million for eight ATR 42-500 planes plus options to buy eight more from Finnish Commuter Airlines (search), and a deal worth about $46 million to buy two ATR 42-500s and one ATR 72-500 from Air Caledonie.

+ ATR also announced a deal worth up to $105 million for six ATR 72-500 planes from CCM Airlines.

+ ATR also said it had won two aircraft maintenance contracts worth almost $100 million.

+ Separate from the air show, top European low-fare carrier Ryanair (search) announced it had ordered five Boeing 737-800 planes worth $286 million.
