A Government Out of Control

We are in the middle of a power grab.

It is happening slowly, so maybe we need to take a step back and look at the big picture. There is so much stuff coming at us every day, that the big stories from weeks ago seem like distant memories. It gets hard to keep things in perspective and we risk missing what is really going on. Some hostile takeovers aren't noticed until it is too late.

We live in a time when the government is firing bank presidents and auto company CEOs; when the government is empowering unions with your tax dollars; when going to college means the government owns you from the cradle to the grave; when everyone on Capitol Hill is screaming, "We need oversight!" then don't even show up to the meetings, and when you have a senator talking about which syrup at IHOP I should use.

Something isn't right. We've got a government out of control.

Now some will say it is up to you the people to control it — and they are right. As these stories of corruption and abuse of power happen, we'll continue to bring them to you. It seems like every week we are filing another Freedom of Information Act request, but even with all the resources of this network, the truth can't be fully exposed without you.
