A five-year-old boy may hold the clue to a gang-style execution which took place in broad daylight in London.

Police are hunting the drivers of two motorcycles which sped from the scene.

The child was in the back of a Range Rover when a gunman on a black Honda motorbike pulled up at a traffic light and shot the driver, Oktay Erbasli, at close range.

Erbasli, 23, managed to stagger a few yards from his car before collapsing in the street.

The child — who is not believed to be related to the victim — was unharmed in the attack, the Metropolitan Police said.

The shooting took place at around 4 p.m. on Friday at the junction between Great Cambridge Road and Roundway in Tottenham, north London.

Detectives declined to confirm if the incident was drugs related.
