4-Year-Old Girl Severely Injured After Sticking Hand in Bakery 'Crushing Machine'

FALL RIVER, Mass. – A 4-year-old girl has been seriously hurt after sticking her hand inside a grinding machine at a Fall River bakery.

The child was being treated at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence.

The injury happened Wednesday afternoon at Terminal Bakery. The girl's family owns the business.

Lt. Joseph Donnelly Jr. tells The Herald News that the child somehow stuck her hand inside a "grinding or crushing machine" and that it was strictly an accident.

He says the girl's injuries are severe but not life-threatening.
