PEORIA, Ariz. – Police say three people are dead and a fourth hospitalized with gunshot wounds after an incident in suburban Peoria.
Peoria police spokesman Mike Tellef says officers were called to a home near 83rd Avenue and Cactus Road early Tuesday afternoon. He says a woman ran to a neighbor's house, and that person called police saying there was a burglary in progress.
Arriving officers found the woman had been shot, and went across the street and found two men and a woman dead in the home.
Tellef says officers aren't sure of the victims' relationships. Tellef wasn't positive if all the dead had been shot.
A Spanish-speaking officer is with the wounded woman at the hospital, but Tellef says they're having difficulty getting additional information about what may have happened.
