ANKARA, Turkey – A news report says 15 workers were trapped when a shaft collapsed in a mine in western Turkey.
NTV television says the collapse occurred at a mine in Deveci village in western Bursa province on Thursday.
The cause of the collapse is not immediately clear
There have been several accidents in Turkey's mines due to safety violations, outdated equipment and high concentrations of methane gas.
