A Houston apartment building undergoing construction collapsed Tuesday afternoon killing at least one person and trapping two others, MyFOXHouston.com reports.

Firefighters and police rescued at least two victims from beneath the debris.

One victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, and another was sent to a southeast Houston hospital, the station reported.

Those trapped may be workers that were renovating the building when it fell at about 4:15 p.m. CDT, MyFOXHouston.com reported.

A police dog is assisting in the search for more possible victims.

The 149-unit apartment complex, made up of around eight buildings, was in the process of being renovated when one of its two-story structures collapsed.
