ANAHEIM, Calif. – One man has been killed and three others critically injured after a pickup truck fleeing police slammed into two vehicles in Anaheim.
Police Sgt. Rick Martinez says the red pickup reached speeds between 85 and 100 mph before crashing Monday night.
Martinez says police received a report of two men beating up another man in the parking lot of an auto body shop. When officers arrived, the suspects got into the pickup and took off.
Martinez says the pickup ran a red light and smashed head-on into another pickup truck and a compact car.
Martinez says the man in the pickup that was hit died. The person in the second vehicle and the two assault suspects all were hospitalized with critical injuries.
No names were released.
