Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Cleveland Cavaliers center Tyler Zeller underwent an appendectomy on Friday and is recovering after the procedure.
The Cavaliers said Zeller will be further evaluated before a timetable is established for his return to basketball activities.
Zeller averaged 7.9 points and 5.7 rebounds in 77 games, starting 55, as a rookie last season.
