Zahlavova Strycova ends Robson's run in Palermo

PALERMO, Sicily – British teenager Laura Robson's impressive run at the Italiacom Open ended Saturday with a 2-6, 7-5, 6-2 loss to eighth-seeded Barbora Zahlavova Strycova in the semifinals.

Robson won the Junior Wimbledon title four years ago when she was 14, but this is the furthest she has advanced in a WTA event.

Zahlavova Strycova will face the winner of the later semifinal between top-seeded Sara Errani and 75th-ranked Irina-Camelia Begu in Sunday's final.
