With the New York Yankees' decision to use a four-man rotation against Texas or Tampa Bay in the AL championship series, Phil Hughes lines up to pitch Games 3 and 7.

But in March, Major League Baseball and the players' association eliminated the off day between Games 4 and 5 of the LCS.

And more schedule changes could be in store for 2011: With the playoffs slated to start on Sept. 30 or Oct. 1, and the World Series beginning Oct. 19, one of the two off days in each division series could be eliminated, a person familiar with the scheduling said Monday, speaking on condition of anonymity because talks are ongoing.
