GREEN BAY, Wis. – Kayla Tetschlag had 20 points and 10 rebounds while Celeste Hoewisch added 19 points and seven steals to help No. 21 Wisconsin-Green Bay rout in-state rival Wisconsin-Milwaukee 87-39 on Saturday.
The Phoenix (18-1, 7-0 Horizon League) never trailed and led by as many as 51 to win their ninth straight. Lydia Bauer added a career-high 20 points for Green Bay, which had season bests in both scoring and points allowed.
Lindsay Laur led the Panthers (6-12, 3-4) with 10 points, while Angela Rodriguez added eight.
Green Bay held a 29-point halftime team thanks to its stifling full-court press. The Phoenix forced 17 turnovers and limited the Panthers to just 13 first-half points — as many as Hoewisch scored by herself — on 4-of-21 shooting (19 percent).
