St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Wild placed forward Zach Parise on injured reserve Saturday due to a lower-body injury.

Parise, who had been playing with a badly bruised foot since Nov. 25, was a late scratch against Philadelphia on Monday before sitting out Friday's setback in Winnipeg.

The 29-year-old winger has racked up 15 goals and 12 assists in 37 games this season.

Minnesota also assigned goaltender Johan Gustafsson to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League. He was recalled on Dec. 18 and did not appear in a game.
