Wichita Wings forward Jamar Beasley was named the player of the week in the Major Indoor Soccer League on Tuesday for Week 5.

Beasley, the brother of U.S. international DaMarcus Beasley, totaled 13 points in wins over the Syracuse Silver Knights and the Norfolk SharX.

He bagged a hat trick, including a short-handed goal, and added two assists in a 20-4 win over Syracuse on Friday and then added two goals and an assist in a 17-4 win over Norfolk on Saturday.

The Rochester Lancers opened the week with a 16-2 win over Norfolk on Thursday night, and Milwaukee's Hewerton Moreira tallied a four-goal night as the Wave stayed unbeaten with a 24-18 win over the Missouri Comets on Friday.

Also Saturday, the Baltimore Blast downed Rochester, 10-4. On Sunday, Missouri downed Syracuse, 23-10.

Milwaukee sits atop the Central Division, and Baltimore leads the Eastern with five wins through six matches.

Baltimore kicks off the upcoming weekend when it hosts Missouri on Friday, and then hosts Syracuse in one of three Saturday games. Milwaukee hosts Rochester, and Norfolk hosts Missouri in Saturday's other matches.
