Chicago White Sox pitcher Philip Humber left Thursday's game against Cleveland in the second inning after he was struck in the head with a line drive.

With one out and a runner on second, Kosuke Fukudome lined a 3-2 pitch right back at the mound. Humber tried to put his glove up to block the ball, but he was too late and he was struck near the brim of his cap.

His knees buckled and he fell backwards, but he got up and walked off the field under his own power.

He was replaced by Zach Stewart on the mound.
