MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota is sticking with Adam Weber at quarterback.

Coach Tim Brewster says Weber will get the nod for the Golden Gophers in the season opener against Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 2.

Weber is a senior has started 38 games in a row for the Gophers and holds team career records for completions and yards passing. He struggled last year as Minnesota moved away from the spread offense.

Sophomore MarQueis Gray is the backup and freshman Moses Alipate is the No. 3 quarterback.
