Manila, Philippines – The World Boxing Organization said five judges on a review panel all had Manny Pacquiao winning his fight against Timothy Bradley earlier this month.
Bradley was given a victory via controversial split decision over Pacquiao on June 9 in Las Vegas, but afterward there was an inquiry called by Bob Arum, the promoter for both fighters, into the scores.
The five judges on the WBO panel had the fight scored 117-111, 117-111, 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113.
The WBO cannot reverse the decision of the fight. Judges Duane Ford and C.J. Ross each scored it 115-113 in favor of Bradley, while Jerry Roth totaled it 115-113 for Pacquiao.
The split decision was greeted by gasps and boos at the MGM Grand and ended Pacquiao's 15-fight winning streak, giving Bradley the welterweight title.
The WBO could order a rematch if the decision is found to be flawed, but that could turn out to be unnecessary as Pacquiao's fight contract included a rematch clause, guaranteeing him a second fight.
