Winston-Salem, NC (Sports Network) - Wake Forest has filed an appeal to the NCAA to restore the eligibility of running back Josh Harris for his senior season.

A spokesman from the school said Harris is currently ineligible, but no other details were forthcoming.

Harris was the team's leading rusher last season with 608 yards on 137 carries. He also scored five touchdowns. Harris also caught 19 passes for 96 yards.

He enters the 2013 season ranked 14th in school history with 1,760 career rushing yards and 15 TDs on the ground.
