Eden Prairie, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Quarterback Matt Cassel will make a second straight start for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday against the visiting Carolina Panthers.
With Christian Ponder recovering from a rib injury, Cassel led the Vikings to their lone win of the season two weeks ago in London. He completed 16-of-25 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns in the 34-27 triumph over Pittsburgh.
Ponder was hurt early in a Week 3 home loss to Cleveland, but managed to finish the contest.
Minnesota is coming off a bye.
