Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle DeMarcus Love has been suspended without pay for the team's first four games of the 2013 regular season for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.

The NFL didn't disclose which substance Love was suspended for, but he won't be eligible to return to team's active roster until the day after the September 29 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Love is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games.

The 25-year-old Love, a sixth-round draft pick in 2011, didn't play a regular season contest during his rookie year. He sat out last season due to a damaged pectoral muscle.
