Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield will miss the remainder of the season as a result of a fractured clavicle.

Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier announced the news on Tuesday.

"Antoine (Winfield) is going to be having surgery tomorrow on his clavicle. He fractured it. He's going to have surgery [Wednesday] so that's going to put him down for the remainder of the season," Frazier said.

Winfield, who has made the last three Pro Bowls, missed four straight games with a neck strain before returning Monday night and suffering the season- ending injury.
