Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook was arrested Friday night on charges of domestic assault.

Cook was booked into the Hennepin County jail on two counts of domestic assault. The jail's website said he is being held without bail.

The Vikings issued a statement early Saturday morning, saying they are "aware of the incident" and are "still gathering details."

Cook's first court appearance is Monday. Since he is being held without bail, Cook will likely remain in jail and probably won't play Sunday when the Vikings host Green Bay.
