Vick: I'm not playing this week

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - There may be a debate in Philadelphia about who should be the starting quarterback of the Eagles.

But for at least one more week, Nick Foles will be under center for the Eagles when they face the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday in a key NFC East battle.

Michael Vick and Foles walked up to the podium together on Thursday, with the former stating that he will miss another week with a hamstring injury.

Vick, of course, missed last Sunday's 31-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after suffering the injury in Week 5 against the New York Giants.

The 33-year-old Vick said Thursday that his hamstring is still not 100 percent.

"I'm not playing this week," said Vick. "Every day I'm just working and trying to get better. I just can't rush it."

Foles completed 22-of-31 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns in the Week 6 victory that earned him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award. He also rushed for a score in the game.

The Arizona product, who is 2-5 as a starter, has connected on 41-of-61 passes for 542 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions in four games this year.

In comparison, Vick has completed 71-of-132 passes for 1,185 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions in five starts this season.

The quarterback debate hasn't taken a toll on the friendship between Vick and Foles. Their friendship has actually seemed to grow, as the two players laughed and had fun with the media on Thursday.

"We don't worry about that, the No. 1 thing is to help the Eagles win," Foles said of the QB debate.
